Founded in May, 2004, Jining Wujie Science & Technology Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer of cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. As one of Shandong’s high-tech enterprises, its technology takes the lead in China and has reached international advanced level. Not only does the company have its own institutes for new materials and independent intellectual property rights, it has entered into cooperation agreements with such famous universities as Tsinghua University, Northeastern University and Shandong University for the research and development of related products. It now has three production lines for cathode materials, one institute for cathode materials and one for lithium-ion power batteries.
The company manufactures two series of products: Li-Ni-Co-Mn-O cathode materials and modified lithium manganese oxide, which are further categorized into over 10 kinds. Research on modified lithium iron phosphate is already under way. With the so-called 3-high performance (high capacity, high-security and high cyclic) , the company’s Li-Ni-Co-Mn-O cathode materials have filled the product gap in China and have been classified as national key new product (Item umber: 2006GRC60032）jointly by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Commerce, General Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and State Environmental Protection Administration. Doped lithium-ion battery cathode material and its preparation method have been granted patent by the State Intellectual Property Office. The technical standards for cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries, drafted by the company, have become national standards and are included in the revising scheme for the fourth National Standards System.
